Turn any printed business card into a one-tap phone contact

A vCard QR code encodes your professional contact details in the universal vCard 3.0 (BEGIN:VCARD) format. When a prospect or colleague scans your code at a conference or from a printed business card, their iPhone or Android phone immediately opens the 'Add to Contacts' screen with your first and last name, organization, job title, phone number, email address, website, and street address pre-filled.

Standard vCard 3.0 Format

Recognized out-of-the-box by Apple Contacts (iOS), Google Contacts (Android), and desktop address books without extra apps.

No Monthly Digital Card Fees

Unlike paid digital business card startups that disable your QR code if you stop paying, static vCard QR codes work forever.

Print-Sharp Vector Output

Export clean SVG paths that print crisply even at 2cm × 2cm on standard 3.5" × 2" business cards.

How to create a vCard QR code for your business card

  1. 1Enter your contact information

Fill in your first name, last name, company/organization, job title, phone number, email, website URL, and office address.

  2. 2Adjust size and error correction

For small printed business cards, leave out unnecessary fields to keep the QR matrix less dense and easier for cameras to read.

  3. 3Export as vector SVG for printing

Download the SVG file and place it on your business card layout, badge, resume, or email signature.

Frequently asked questions

How small can I print a vCard QR code on a business card?

Because vCards contain more text than a simple URL, aim for at least 2 cm × 2 cm (0.8 in × 0.8 in) and only fill in the fields you actually need so the dots stay large and easy to scan.

Does scanning a vCard QR code require an internet connection?

No! All contact details are stored directly inside the QR code pattern, so phones can scan and save your contact even in airplane mode or inside convention centers with poor reception.

Will my contact details be stored on CodeKit's servers?

Never. Your personal phone number, email, and address are encoded locally in your browser and are never transmitted anywhere.
